At Apple, the plastic did not die! The company renews its MacBook by preserving the White plastic design (polycarbonate to be precise). The distinction is clear: a white Model for the line entry (MacBook), and three aluminium models for the rise in range (MacBook Pro). With a design a little rounder and always very successful, new white MacBook “unibody” profits from the cast solid design installation on MacBook Pro. The principal body of the laptop is cut in only One block of plastic. It lodges All the machinery, protected by a lid retained by 8vis.
As usual, Apple looks after the completion of its product. This level white MacBook unibody remains a machine of 13,3 inches (33,8 cm) irreproachable. The similarities between MacBook Pro and MacBook do not stop there. This new MacBook proposes a Screen Lcd with retro-lighting LED with a definition of 1280 X 800 pixels. As on all its machines, the completion of the screen is brilliant. Only models 15 and 17 inches profit from a paying option to have an anti-reflecting flagstone. The broad multipoint tactile paving stone out of glass makes its appearance on MacBook. One finds the panoply of gestural to 1,2 or 4 fingers to sail, make ravel, carry out a rotation… But MacBook Pro preserve some privileges which we would have liked to see on the white machine of Apple.
MacBook thus does not see the reappearance of FireWire, does not have reader of Memory Card, or backlighted Keyboard. The audio entry and exit, as on MacBook Pro, amalgamated… Only two ports USB appear on the side a third would have been better effect, and would have partially compensated for the absences mentioned above. The design unibody is accompanied by the adoption of the irremovable fixed battery. An small inconvenience for a Great benefit. Autonomy proves indeed exceptional. Without reaching the 7 hours promised by Apple, it aligns on that of MacBook Pro 13 inches. Approximately three hours in reading Dvd, and around 5 a.m. (on average) of mixed use Internet-office automation with an adjustment in luminosity with half of the Power.
It is necessary to note the disappearance of the small gauge indicating the load of the battery. A very practical function when the Computer was extinct on the previous models. Sides performances, this new white MacBook embarks a Processor Intel Core 2 Duet with 2,26 GHz of last generation, with 2 Go of random access memory, an Hard Drive of 250 Go (two elements which can climb up to 4 go and 500 Go), and the graphics chip Nvidia 9400M. Technical specificities standards, which do better than the models precedent, and which answer perfectly an office automation and multi-media use contemporary (word processing, Web surfing, final improvement photographs, nonprofessional video assembly, encoding…).
The whole is based on the last operating System of Apple Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow leopard). Connectivity is complete, since this white Macbook has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and taken Ethernet. Mac Book white unibody inaugurates MagSafe (magnetic system of the food) with a new end. It is prolonged towards the back of the apparatus, and is thus less sensitive to torsions and with the heating having already caused some short-circuit. This white Macbook takes the changing with brilliance by renewing design and performances.
If one can regret some absence (reader of memory card, a third port USB), there remains portable Mac offering the best quality-price ratio. To 900 €, it enters direct competition with the first Pro model which has evil to justify its 250 additional €.
